Confederate pension record, 1899-ca. 1930.

The state legislature authorized pensions for certain Confederate veterans in 1899 (see Ala. Acts [1899]). This schedule covers the records used at the county level to administer the pensions. Information in these records generally includes the name of the veteran or widow, place of residence, branch of service, dates of service, date of birth, remarks, class of pension, and amounts received. This record began in 1899 and continued until ca. 1930.
